Meet Sophie Stambaugh, RD, LDN, Weight-Inclusive Dietitian
As an Intuitive Eating and anti-diet eating disorder Registered Dietitian, I work to help my clients foster healthy and fulfilling relationships with food. I am passionate about empowering individuals to challenge their eating disorders and disordered eating, reframe their distorted beliefs about food and their bodies, and fully nourish themselves.
Unlearning diet culture and relearning body trust can be confusing and strong emotions
In a society that perpetuates the idea that there is a "right" way to eat and an "ideal" body type, it's essential to recognize that everyone's relationship with food is unique and that all bodies are inherently valuable.
Acknowledging this complexity means understanding that your food culture and personal experiences are significant and valid. Whether you're recovering from an eating disorder or simply seeking a healthier relationship with food, it's crucial to have a supportive environment where no topic is off-limits.
Such a space allows you to explore vulnerability, ask questions you might be hesitant to search for online, and receive guidance to navigate the pervasive, often harmful, narratives about diet and body image. This support can help you dismantle unhelpful beliefs and rebuild trust in your body's signals and needs.

Client Testimonial
"My time with Sophie as my dietitian has been one of the most impactful and helpful times in my life. She used methods of fact-checking and challenging my eating disorder and symptoms to help me accurately discern my thoughts from my disordered thoughts. I have built a connection with her that you won’t find with some other dietitians! My recovery was smoother and easier to maintain because of her hard work and support."
